I too have been thinking back to the 60"s way of living. I am over 50 now and have been living check to check for many years. I got sick about a year ago and I don't have health insurance. I have been unemployed for over a year now I get by on the Grace of G-d. It really sucks when no one will help you. I thought when you saw someone in need you were suppose to help them but its not like that is it? All I want out of this life is to keep a roof over my head. Is that a lot to ask? I really wish I new what was making me so sick. My health is not good, oh well what can you do?
Perhaps many of us boomers might benefit from re-visiting the 1960's idea of communal living. Many are in deep trouble in spite of trying to live the life we thought we were entitled to by working hard and being honest and good. For those with families, I suggest watching some old reruns of the tv series 'The Waltons".
